Bhopal, April 23 -- The State Cabinet on Tuesday approved amendments for the effective implementation of the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana. The Cabinet approved key decisions aimed at social welfare and environmental conservation.
The Cabinet approved the provision of financial assistance for the marriages of girls from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana. Assistance will be extended only after verification of BPL status through the official portal. Mass marriage events will be organised annually on a divisional and rotational basis as per a pre-determined calendar.
