Ranchi, Dec. 25 -- The State government has decided to hike the dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners by three percent. Now employees and pensioners will get 53 percent dearness allowance, increased from 50. The decision to this effect was taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
In addition to the DA hike, the cabinet approved several other proposals: The CAG report will be placed in the upcoming assembly session. Administrative approval of Rs 99 crore 56 lakh was given to Vinoba Bhave University for the scheme approved under Meru under the Prime Minister Higher Education Campaign.
