India, Nov. 14 -- A loud blast-like sound near Mahipalpur, close to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, triggered panic on Thursday morning. The incident happened just three days after a deadly explosion near the Red Fort killed 13 people and injured 20.
Police later confirmed that the sound came from a bus tyre burst, not an explosion. The incident occurred around 9:15 am near the Radisson Hotel in Mahipalpur, a busy area on the Delhi-Gurugram route. Residents and commuters, already tense after the Red Fort blast, reported hearing a powerful sound that shook nearby buildings. Within minutes, police and fire teams rushed to the spot.
