Garhwa, Feb. 23 -- A bus driver had a heart attack while driving. Passengers acted fast and saved him with CPR, in Garhwa.

The driver, Virendra Pandey, was driving from Garhwa to Ranchi. About 30 minutes after leaving, he collapsed. The bus was going about 80 km/h over the Tahale River bridge.

There were around 50 to 60 people on the bus. They gave Pandey CPR right away, which revived him. He was then taken to Medininagar Hospital. The passengers continued their trip on another bus.

The bus left Ranka Mor in Garhwa at 9:10 am for Ranchi. The incident happened about 13 km from the station. As the bus crossed the Tahale River, Pandey felt chest pain. He managed to drive across the bridge but then passed out, causing panic.
