New Delhi, May 17 -- In a massive bureaucratic reshuffle, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has transferred 66 officers of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and other Union Territories.
This is the first massive bureaucratic reshuffle in the BJP ruled-Delhi government which came to power after 27 years. Since the Rekha Gupta government assumed office on February 20, there has been widespread speculation about big changes among senior officers. Barring a few minor adjustments, no major reshuffling had been effected during the Rekha Gupta government.
