Bokaro, April 2 -- Under the dynamic leadership of Birendra Kumar Tiwari, Director In-Charge of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), the plant has achieved its best-ever performance in the financial year 2024-25. BSL set new benchmarks in production, dispatch, and techno-economic parameters, reinforcing its position as a leader in the steel industry.
Key milestones include record-breaking hot metal production with four furnaces in operation, highest-ever crude steel output from SMS-New, and a significant rise in CR saleable steel production. The plant also improved critical techno-economic indicators such as energy consumption, coke rate, and CDI rate, along with record dispatch of granulated slag.
