Jammu, May 28 -- In a fierce retaliation under Operation Sindoor, the Border Security Force (BSF) targeted 76 Pakistani border outposts, 42 Forward Defense Locations (FDLs), and flattened three terrorist launchpads along the International Border (IB) in the Jammu frontier.
The massive counteroffensive was launched in response to unprovoked firing and shelling by Pakistani Rangers on 60 Indian posts and 49 forward positions, which officials say aimed to cover an infiltration attempt by 40-50 terrorists.
BSF Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Chiterpaul Singh confirmed the destruction of a key Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)-run terror launch pad near the Sunderbani sector, stating, "No movement is now observed in that area."
