Chandigarh, May 31 -- A bomb threat email sent to the Haryana Civil Secretariat on Friday afternoon triggered a massive security response, prompting the evacuation of the nine-storey building in Chandigarh. Police, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Haryana CID, and a bomb disposal squad swiftly reached the scene and began a thorough search of the premises.
Security was also heightened around the nearby residence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. CISF and police teams conducted combing operations throughout the Secretariat, located in a high-security zone.
