Bhopal, April 28 -- As the sun beats down mercilessly, commuters in the state capital are gasping for relief, as the Bhopal Municipal Corporation's plan to install 200 water stalls in the city has only partially materialised.

In the sweltering heat, only 67 water kiosks have been set up across the city so far. According to the BMC Water Works Department, a total of 63 have been installed at key locations such as railway stations, bus stands, and marketplaces; of these, 37 are makeshift arrangements.

The kiosks mostly consist of earthen pots filled with water from the Narmada and Kolar reservoirs. Residents and social workers are maintaining hygiene and refilling the pots, but BMC officials say more units will be established in the coming ...
