Bhopal, April 27 -- In an anti-encroachment drive spanning several areas in the state capital on Saturday, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) teams lifted vehicles and removed illegal structures from roads, footpaths and public spaces to maintain public convenience and civic order.
The action, which followed complaints on the CM Helpline, saw the encroachment squads demolish illegally constructed staircases, walls, huts and sheds across several city areas. Two carts were also seized.
Under instructions from Commissioner Harendra Narayan, teams took action in Durga Nagar, 80 Feet Road, Ashoka Garden, Mata Mandir, Nehru Nagar Square, New Market no-vehicle zone and other locations.
