Bhopal, March 9 -- Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) marked International Women's Day by honouring its women sanitation workers through a spirited sports competition, 'Swachh Udaan' at Jawahar Bal Udyan on Link Road No 2 on Saturday.
Winners were felicitated with medals and trophies at the event, inaugurated by Mayor Malti Rai who was joined by MP Alok Sharma, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, and MiC Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi. BJP State President Vishnudutt Sharma extended congratulations via telephone.
Women sanitation workers from 21 municipal zones participated in traditional games like lemon race, musical chair race, and tug-of-war. Spectators cheered as contestants displayed agility and teamwork.
