Bhopal, May 6 -- In a key crackdown, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday stopped the unauthorised construction of a building on Saifia College Road as part of its intensified drive against encroachments.
The civic team arrived at the site following public complaints and found that building work was being carried out without approval. The construction was immediately halted and the materials inspected.
In an ostensible effort to enhance safety of girl students, the anti encroachment squads also removed roadside vends from the vicinity of Nutan College, MLB College and Professor Colony. Six carts were seized from college areas alone.
