Bhopal, June 4 -- Meteorological department predictions of above-average rainfall in the state capital prompted civic officials to enhance preparedness across the city on Tuesday.
Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan conducted an extensive inspection of areas such as Chuna Bhatti, Shahpura, Baba Nagar and Bawadia Kalan. He directed intensive cleaning of all major drains and the immediate removal of weeds, shrubs and plants blocking water flow.
Zone and ward-level nodal officers were instructed to monitor sanitation and drainage closely. Narayan emphasised the need for a swift response and coordination with assistant health officers to complete urgent tasks.
