India, Nov. 19 -- This year has not been too good a year for the Sensex, the Bombay Stock Exchange index. In the past six months, it gained just over three per cent, with a decent year-to-date increase of eight per cent. In the past 12 months, the gain was nearer to 10 per cent. However, in the past five years, the Sensex has almost doubled, with a gain of nearly 41,000 points. It marks an annual average increase of more than 18 per cent. But if one of the global expert firms is right, there is great news. In a recent report, Morgan Stanley has estimated the Sensex to be at 1,07,000, or an increase of 22,000 points or more than 25 per cent from the current levels, by December 2026.
