India, Nov. 4 -- Indians are increasingly turning towards equities, or rather mutual funds, to build their assets. The crazy growth in stock valuations, and market indices encouraged investors to grow their wealth through shares, rather than the traditional means such as deposits, and currencies. Over the past few years, data shows that more investors have joined the equity cult, which is reflected in the number of new mutual fund folios, and especially by women, and investors in the smaller cities and towns. Since 2019, or pre-pandemic period, the share of mutual funds in total household assets grew by an amazing 10 per cent and more.
