India, Nov. 22 -- Call it candy, or toffee but the sweet that we like as kids is not as dandy as it used to be. Believe it or not, digitisation has killed the small candies market in some respects. So has the inflation in the recent past, which eased down in the past few months. Some experts believe that the coins, and smaller rupee notes in circulation too determine the sales of the sweets. In effect, it may seem that the health of the candies segment is not determined so much by demand, and taste, as it is by factors that are not within the control of the major players.
