Ranchi, April 29 -- State BJP spokesperson Ajay Sah today alleged that the doctorate degree (Ph.D degree) received by minister Hafizul Ansari was obtained from a fake university, which he described as "Bharat Virtual Open Educational University" - an institution that has neither the right to use the word university nor is recognized to confer any kind of academic degree.
He said that as is clear in Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. Neither the UGC, nor the Government of India nor the Jharkhand government has given any recognition to this fake university.
