New Delhi, June 7 -- Candidates from both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have filed the nominations and entered the contest on Friday for the key posts of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the standing committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), ahead of the elections scheduled for June 12, 2025.
From the BJP, Satya Sharma has filed her nomination for the post of Chairperson, while Sunder Singh has filed for the post of Deputy Chairperson. Representing AAP, Praveen Kumar has submitted his nomination for Chairperson and Mohini Jeenwal for Deputy Chairperson.
