Jamshedpur, Feb. 27 -- The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jamshedpur office, organized a Manak Manthan session on Wednesday at the Conference Hall, JDBO. The session centered around the Draft Indian Standard for ferro alloys and engaged industry stakeholders in meaningful discussions.

The session covered a range of important draft standards on Ferro-Alloys that came under Mandatory Certification vide Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2024 and are implemented w.e.f. 08 November 2024. These Ferro-Alloys include Ferromanganese (IS 1171), Silico manganese (IS 1470), and Ferrochrome (IS 1170). These standards are crucial for the steel industry as raw materials for ensuring quality and consistency in production processes.
