Lucknow, Sept. 18 -- The Uttar Pradesh government claimed that the rate of COVID-9 cases in big cities was high compared to smaller cities, posing a big challenge for the administration to control this disease in big districts.

Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said that high coronavirus positive rates were witnessed in districts like Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Muzaffarnagar and Meerut while it was low in Hathras, Hamirpur, Baghpat, Shravasti and Mahoba districts.

"The recovery rate of the COVID-19 patients has gone up to 78.29 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.42 per cent, much less than the national average. The positive rate of people going for Covid tests is also 4.15 per cent," Prasad said, and added th...
