Bhopal, May 19 -- Over 130 cyclists and numerous pedestrians took to the streets of Bhopal on Sunday to demand safer roads. The Cyclothon and Walkathon marked the 8th UN Global Road Safety Week and highlighted the urgent need for better infrastructure and stricter road safety measures for pedestrians and cyclists.

The rally started from the National Centre for Human Settlements & Environment (NCHSE) campus in Arera Colony and passed through major city points like Rajiv Square, Kolar Tri Junction, and Manisha Market before returning. Participants carried placards calling for regulated speeds, safer roads, and inclusive planning.
