Bhopal, March 27 -- For the first time this summer season, the temperature in seven cities of Madhya Pradesh has crossed 40degC. Bhopal recorded the highest day temperature of the season at 38.8degC.

The highest day temperature was recorded in Talun (Barwani) and Ratlam reaching 40degC, Rajgarh at 39.7degC, Dhar at 39.3degC, Shivpuri at 39degC, and Prithvipur (Niwari) at 38.9degC.

According to the Meteorological Department, a heat alert has been issued for the next two days, with temperatures expected to drop by 1-2degC after that.
