Bhopal, April 29 -- The Bhopal Railway Division is now using Ultrasonic Flaw Detection (USFD) technology to ensure track safety by detecting internal flaws early, allowing timely repairs and safe train operations.

USFD technology enables precise inspection of railway tracks, detecting internal flaws before they lead to serious issues. This technique enhances the safety of both passenger and freight trains, preventing disruptions.

Approximately 2000 kilometres of track in Bhopal Division are regularly inspected with USFD machines. Inspections, based on traffic density, occur every two to four months, ensuring timely maintenance.
