BHOPAL, Feb. 6 -- The Cyber Crime Branch of Bhopal has arrested four members of a gang operating a fake call center in New Delhi, which had been running fraudulent schemes for the past two years. The gang impersonated SBI credit card officials, deceiving victims into sharing their One-Time Passwords (OTPs) under the pretext of upgrading credit cards or increasing limits.
The fraudulent operation extended across multiple cities and states, targeting numerous credit card holders. The police launched an investigation after a victim reported a loss of ?95,500 in a similar scam.
