New Delhi, July 11 -- In a significant step towards sustainable sanitation and community-led cleanliness, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC)on Thursday declared Bharti Nagar as the second "Anupam Colony" within its jurisdiction.

The announcement was made by NDMC Chairman Keshav Chandra at a ceremony held at Bharti Nagar.

The "Anupam Colony" initiative, launched with the vision of 'Together for a Cleaner and Greener Tomorrow', recognises residential areas that demonstrate exceptional commitment to innovative Swachhta (cleanliness) practices.
