Bengaluru, June 7 -- Authorities in Karnataka have arrested four officials and suspended five senior police officers in a sweeping crackdown following the June 4 stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium that killed 11 and injured 56 during Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) IPL title celebrations.

In a coordinated operation on Friday, Bengaluru Police and the Crime Branch detained Nikhil Sosale, RCB's head of marketing and revenue, and two executives from DNA Entertainment Networks Pvt Ltd - Sunil Mathew and Kiran Kumar. Some were reportedly apprehended at Kempegowda International Airport while allegedly attempting to leave the country.
