India, Nov. 19 -- The ongoing war of words between Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose and Trinamool Congress (TMC) Member of the Lok Sabha Kalyan Banerjee on Tuesday culminated into a police complaint being lodged on behalf of the Raj Bhavan against the Serampore MP for his publicly accusing the Governor of harbouring criminals (from the BJP) and supplying them with arms.

The complaints were lodged under a plethora of Sections, ie, 151, 152, 197, 353, 196 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), sources in the Governor's House said, adding the section pertained to disturbing internal peace, causing armed rebellion, etc. Sources also said that the Governor was contemplating filing of a defamation suit in the Calcutta High Court against the TMC lea...
