Kolkata, March 12 -- Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday received the Centre's notification of the Citizenship Amendment Act with fury calling the exercise BJP's act of deceit and a publicity stunt just before the general elections.

Holding a summary press conference juxtaposing the Central notification of the new Act, Banerjee said that she had not seen the rules thus framed and would definitely protest if there was anything that hit the existing citizenship.
