Ranchi, Feb. 12 -- Initiatives to revive the bacon factory closed since 1996 in Kanke, Ranchi have started to be seen. Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey today conducted a surprise inspection of this factory. After the surprise inspection, the minister said that discussions have also been held with Chief Minister Hemant Soren to revive this closed factory.

At one time this factory used to be Asia's number one factory, but it was closed due to just Rs 25,000. Various types of ready-to-eat dishes of pork meat were prepared and branded under the name of Ranbeck brand.
