Ayodhya, May 3 -- In a landmark decision aimed at reinforcing the spiritual identity of Ayodhya, the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has passed a resolution to ban the sale of meat and liquor along the entire 14-kilometre stretch of Ram Path - the prominent road connecting Ayodhya and Faizabad. The resolution also extends restrictions to advertisements of tobacco products, paan, gutkha, bidi, cigarettes, and even innerwear, in an effort to uphold the religious sanctity of the area surrounding the newly consecrated Ram Temple.
