BHOPAL, Feb. 24 -- A 45-year-old auto-rickshaw driver was kidnapped and assaulted in broad daylight in the Piplani area by a criminal under police surveillance. The incident occurred on February 14, but an FIR was registered only on Saturday night after an investigation.
According to police officials, the accused, Mushtaq Khan, a known offender on the watch list of Piplani police, abducted the victim, Kaushlendra Yadav, and took him to a deserted street in Jahangirabad, where he physically assaulted him. Khan remains at large.
