KOCHI, Feb. 26 -- A tense atmosphere prevails in Poonjar town in Kottayam district following an attempt on the life of a Christian priest by some anti-social elements. The police is tight lipped about the identity of the persons behind the attack except the fact that the trouble makers included some school students.
The police have issued stern warning against anybody who spreads the news and related developments through social media. Father George Attuchalil, the assistant vicar of St Mary's Forane Church, Poonjar was physically assaulted by a group of people on Friday afternoon when they drove their motor cycles and cars in breakneck speed in the Church ground.
