Dehradun, June 11 -- A young woman from Assam, who had been missing for five days, was found dead in Uttarakhand's Pauri district on Monday.
As per initial investigation, she died near Shivpuri while rafting and no foul play is suspected in her death so far, Inspector General (Law and Order) of Uttarakhand, Nilesh Anand Bharne said.
The victim, Rasmita Hojai hailed from Sontila Hojai village in Assam's Dima Hasao district.
She had travelled to Delhi earlier this month to appear for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination.
However, she reportedly lost contact with her family shortly after reaching Delhi on June 5.
She was reportedly with two male friends, who later informed the Shivpuri police station about her disappearance.
