India, Dec. 25 -- In a significant push towards bolstering women's financial independence and achieving State self-reliance, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday inaugurated the distribution of funds under the ambitious Mukhiya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan (MMUA) in the Chabua-Lahowal and Makum Assembly Constituencies of Upper Assam. The initiative saw the first instalment of 10,000 distributed to 21,198 women in Chabua-Lahowal and 22,069 women in Makum, providing crucial seed capital for their entrepreneurial ventures.
