BERMO, Oct. 18 -- A 42-year-old assistant sub- inspector posted at Giridih nagar police station,identified as Vijay Tirkey, committed suicide by hanging himself at his home at Gwala tola area in the city. The police, however, said the exact reason behind the ASI's death was yet to be ascertained.
After getting the information, DySP Vinod Ravani and city station in-charge Adikant Mahato also reached at the house of the deceased ASI and started an investigation about the incident.
The deceased Vijay Tirkey was a resident of Sisai in Gumla district and was posted at town police station in Giridih district for nearly three years. The family has also been informed about the incident.While the town police are investigating the entire case.
