Chandigarh/Amritsar, June 23 -- In a major breakthrough against cross-border espionage, Punjab Police on Sunday arrested an Indian Army soldier and his accomplice for allegedly leaking sensitive military information to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The operation was executed by Amritsar Rural Police.

The state Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav identified the arrested Army personnel as Gurpreet Singh alias Gopy Foji - a resident of Dhariwal in Amritsar and currently posted in Jammu; and his associate Sahil Masih alias Shali - also from Dhariwal.
