Jammu, July 27 -- Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi Saturday announced a significant step towards modernising the force with the introduction of new "all-arms brigades" named Rudra.
The announcement was made during the commemorative celebrations at Drass, Kargil, marking the victory of the Indian Army in the Kargil War of 1999.
Addressing the gathering, General Dwivedi emphasised the Indian Army's ongoing transformation into a "future-oriented force" capable of tackling both current and emerging challenges.
