Kolkata, July 13 -- Aware of the fact that massive alienation had taken place in her party in the past few years leading to debacle in the parliamentary elections, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has asked the Trinamool Congress leaders to restore mass connectivity by shunning arrogance and being polite to the general public.

Meeting her party MLAs for the first time since the conclusion of the Lok Sabha elections that saw the TMC losing 12 seats to the resurgent BJP, Mamata asked the legislators to shun arrogance, conduct themselves more politely when they meet people and apologise for their past mistakes.
