Bhopal, May 16 -- The district administration on Thursday led a sweeping demolition drive, targeting illegal colonies, private structures and encroachments across the Huzur tehsil of the state capital.
Government teams, aided by JCB machines and police, razed several permanent structures built on encroached land. The crackdown was part of a planned enforcement action following an official investigation.
Huzur SDM Vinod Sonkia confirmed that illegal colonies were surveyed before action began. The demolitions took place in the presence of police to prevent any disruption or resistance.
