Bhopal, June 24 -- All 241 public parks in the state capital will soon be digitally mapped to display ward, zone, land record details, number of trees, and caretaker information, following orders issued on Monday.
Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh gave the directive during a review of monsoon plantation efforts. He said the digitisation will be done using GIS mapping so that each park's status is clearly visible and easily monitored.
Of the city's 241 parks, 157 are managed by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC), 47 by the Bhopal Development Authority (BDA), 21 by the Capital Project Administration (CPA), 12 by the Social Forestry Department, and four by the Horticulture Department.
