Lucknow, April 22 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday slammed BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for his remarks against former Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi, urging BJP leaders to refrain from making comments about retired constitutional authorities who have served the nation with distinction.

In a post on X, Yadav wrote that one who has already been discredited by his own party for making a personal opinion not worthy of endorsement should maintain silence on a retired constitutional officer, adding that such silence would be more respectful.
