Bhopal, June 19 -- The PWD will redesign Bhopal's controversial 90-degree Aishbagh overbridge turn after public uproar, meme mockery and safety warnings from the National Highways Authority of India.
The overbridge's sharp turn became a national joke, with viral memes questioning how drivers were expected to negotiate the hazard. The structure was widely slammed for compromising safety.
PWD officials said the turn would be corrected in coordination with Railways, but the bridge itself would remain intact. Officials confirmed disciplinary action against those responsible for the original flawed design.
