Bhopal, May 9 -- Airport Road from Asaram Square to Ayodhya Bypass will be expanded into a 10-lane corridor, confirmed MLA Rameshwar Sharma during an inspection of various project sites in the state capital on Thursday.
Originally planned as an 8-lane road, Sharma said he had urged Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to widen it further, citing its role as the main airport route. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has now approved the revised plan, and work will continue without delay.
At Lalghati, Sharma reviewed the stalled second phase of the grade separator, delayed during Kamal Nath's tenure. He said the plan would be revived and discussed with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Nitin Gadkari for approval.
