Bhopal, April 23 -- Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that air ambulance services in Madhya Pradesh will be expanded and made more efficient to ensure that critically ill patients and seriously injured accident victims receive timely medical attention. He added that even the poorest citizens should have access to this life-saving service.

Currently, the state operates one helicopter and one aeroplane under the air ambulance service. Future plans include zoning the state to ensure wider availability of air ambulance services based on regional requirements.
