AmbalaChandigarh, May 10 -- In view of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, a potential aerial threat alert was issued by the Air Force Station in Ambala and Chandigarh on Friday morning. Following the alert, the district officers concerned advised the residents to remain indoors and away from balconies. In Ambala, the Deputy Commissioner, Ajay Singh Tomer, said that an air warning threat alert had been received from the Air Force Station. Sirens were sounded and all residents had been advised to remain indoors and away from balconies and venture out in case of urgency only for the next two hours, he said.
