Bhopal, May 1 -- With 2.18 lakh ration beneficiaries failing to show up, the E-KYC deadline in the state capital was extended by 10 days on Wednesday to ensure no deserving family was left out of the ambit of the scheme.

Launched on April 12, the campaign targeted 2,28,861 Public Distribution System beneficiaries. Officials now have until next week to complete the remaining verifications.

Additional Collector and District Panchayat CEO Ila Tiwari reviewed ward-wise progress and directed teams to conduct door-to-door verifications and maintain accurate records.
