New Delhi, April 22 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to return to the helm of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi after over two years, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday announcing not to contest the upcoming mayoral elections in Delhi. This comes after a series of defections in the AAP ahead of the Mayoral elections. The AAP which has been ruling the MCD for more than two years after ending the BJP's 15-year hold on the civic body, chose not to participate in the mayoral contest.
