Chandigarh, June 2 -- In a politically significant move, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday removed Priti Malhotra from the post of Punjab state women's wing president and appointed Moga MLA Amandeep Kaur in her place. The development comes amid growing dissent within party ranks, especially over the increasing influence of "outsiders" in Punjab affairs - a charge levelled publicly by Malhotra herself just hours before her removal.
