Chandigarh, March 11 -- The farmers, under the banner of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), on Monday laid siege to the residences of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Ministers and MLAs across Punjab. The mass protest came after the AAP-led Punjab Government's crackdown on farmers attempting to march to Chandigarh on March 5.
The protest, which lasted from 11 am to 3 pm, saw farmers gathering in large numbers outside the homes of key AAP leaders, demanding legal backing for Minimum Support Price (MSP) and other agrarian reforms. SKM leaders have warned of an intensified movement if their demands are not met soon.
