New Delhi, Feb. 7 -- The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines used in the Delhi assembly elections have been kept in 70 strong rooms with a three-tier security system in place. The Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements to guard 19 strongrooms containing EVMs and VVPATs, with voters on Wednesday sealing the fates of 699 candidates contesting the Assembly polls in the Capital. Delhiites cast their votes in the assembly elections on February 5, with results to be declared on February 8.
